AdWords Tool is dead, long live AdWords Tool

Back in August (the 9th) the AdWords Blog announced an updated Keyword Tool. Now, as of Friday 24th the “old” version is no more. The updated keyword tool is out of beta and fully available.

Long Tail – why do SEOs use that word?

The long tail isn’t a pure SEO term (like lots of other things in SEO), its from the exciting world of statistics, and has its roots in how distributions are described. When any population has a set of measurable characteristics those characteristics can be measured in regards to how they are distributed within that population (don’t yawn).

SEO Keyword Types

As with most processes (and lets be clear, SEO IS a process) regular retrospectives are really handy. They allow you to see what has worked, what needs tuning, and what can be binned. With keywords in your SEO campaign a review once a quarter is a sensible thing to do- long enough to test, short enough to spot weaknesses and react.
