Google Analytics Announces Weighted Sorting

SEO Tips- Capturing Google campaign data in form submissions, from cookies

Back in May 2009 Google made it absolutely clear (via Myth 7) that you can use your analytics data and add it to other systems, such as CRMs. We’ve been working for a while on a few implementations of this, and its turning out well. The exception is that we don’t squirt the captured data into any other systems, rather we create the means for website owners to do this- by reporting well specified and ordered data.

Track Facebook Visitors by Adding Google Analytics to Your Fan Page

Whilst Facebook can provide some analytical data on how many visits you get to your Fan Page and they send emails every week (which mostly end up in my spam), the data we receive is not really sophisticated enough. So now a way has been created to track your visitors via Google Analytics.

Google Hints and Tips – Filter to Exclude Internal Traffic

For many, this might seem like a pretty basic filter in comparison to my previous hints and tips (Filter for Obtaining SEO Rankings on Google Analytics and Real AdWords Keywords in Google Analytics) and that’s pretty much because it’s so easy to do. But I was asked this the other day how to block internal traffic on Analytics and realised that not everyone really understands that you can do this  at all.

Tracking Downloads and Clicks with Google Analytics Using Virtual Pages

Last Friday (21st May) Google announced the roll out of a beta for encrypted search. The intention is to prevent anyone seeing what you’re searching, so no-one can know your queries. Handy for a few reasons, but mostly because it can add another layer of privacy to your online life.
